This was funny to me

I saw this on Yahoo just now. Students on their way to their first day of school and the parents get to drive over this sign...The only thing I can think of is.. I wonder if the painter saw that he did the "H" first and just said "Oh well" and just kept going. I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt and assume that this is what happened..LOL

Today was the Day From...

you KNOW WHERE!!! Oh my goodness..I was already NOT feeling good and then I had to work up front for the last two hours and you would not believe some of the students that were coming through the line. Some of them I just wanted to look at with a **BLANK** stare LOL SERIOUSLY!! I just wanted to come home, take a shower and go straight to bed. Thankfully, I have a loving mother who spoils me (if your reading this Mom I love you!!)Anyway, she made me some chicken because she knew I have not been feeling good the past couple of days, so I stopped by and picked that up and then I came home. Hopefully tomorrow will be better. I want to try to start and hopefully by this weekend finish a mini book that I was inspired to do by one of my favorite bloggers that I **secretly** stalk LOL Christina Clouse. I love her work! and she posted a mini that I want to re-create this weekend. If I do it, I will post it here!! G-nite!!

Searching for a New Phone

Sierra: Hi Auntie
Me: Hi Sierra
Sierra: Have you gotten your new phone yet?
Me: No, not yet Sierra
Sierra: Do you know when Auntie?
Me: No Sierra
Sierra: Uggggh, I wish you would get it tomorrow!!
Me: LOL

I have promised my Niece Sierra my old blackberry once I find the new phone that I want. I was debating between the new HTC HD2 phone by T-Mobile, or just upgrade my blackberry because I really like the blackberry. It was funny when I went phone shopping years ago the guy told me "Once you get a blackberry, you won't want another phone" And in some ways it's so true. Because the HTC phone has so many features (You can even watch movies on it!) plus it has the biggest display screen out right now, but the blackberry to me just seems so much more efficient. So I think I have made up my mind to get another blackberry but it will probably be sometime next month. Sorry Sierra, you will have to wait a little longer. {HUGS}

Had Fun with My Niece and Nephew

..this weekend. This was my first time actually meeting my Niece and I haven't seen my nephew in years. So my bro-in-law was in town visiting family and he dropped them off so that I could spend some time with them and then also take them to see the rest of the family. Will definitely have to see them more often so they can remember their Auntie Erika =)

Egg Whites...

Are not that bad..My friend Julie had mentioned it to me the other day when I told her about me going on my diet and my first thought was "Ewwwwww" cuz I LOVE my egg yolks (It's the favorite part of my boiled egg man). So anyway, she said try it with some vegetables and cheese on top and so I did. I added mushrooms this time and next time I might put onion and peppers to mix it up. The yellow you see in the pic is not egg yolk it is the spray that I used to coat the pan. Anyway, I'm glad that I like egg whites by themselves because now I found something else healthy to eat for breakfast. Thanks Julie! =)

Today is D-DAY

Yes folks, today is DIET day. My pants have called for it, my shirts have called for it, my knees have called for it and dangit my stomach and chin has called for it!! I can't fit into any of my clothes anymore and I went to the store and bought a couple of new outfits, but then I thought about it and I'm like "Wait, you can't do what you did last time" which was kept getting bigger clothes every time I gained weight!! And last time I did so good with my diet that I lost 85lbs, but alas I have gained it all back since the surgery and stuff (Okay well NOT all of it but STILL). But NO MORE EXCUSES!! I went to the gym yesterday and worked out on the elliptical machine for 30 min (Just wanted to add that the AIR CONDITIONER was NOT WORKING!!!!!! Oh my goodness! have never sweated so much in my LIFE!! but endured to the end). , went to the grocery store and got all my stuff and I have been drinking my water all day. My best friend is going to do this with me and I know that will be fun having a workout/diet buddy. So...on with the "dreaded" pictures you are supposed to take for the BEFORE and then as I go along, I will post some more..OKAY SO FIRST HERE IS ME...

PLEASE, PLEASE GO AWAY...I have been getting them lately more on a regular basis. I went to the dr. the other day, I explained to him that I have been having them more now in the past three months than I have ever had before. Don't know where they have been coming from, but talked to Mom and she told me to try to figure out what my triggers are such as salt intake, chocolate, stress etc. She has them almost everyday (I feel so bad when she does) I wouldn't wish these upon anybody. Hopefully I will find the source to them and they will eventually GO AWAY.....

My Trip to Kissimmee Florida

Thoroughly enjoyed my weekend with my parents. We went to a Convention for three days in Kissimmee, Fl. And stayed at a very nice complex also. My sister and bro-in-law were there as well as my nieces. Spent one night with my niece Tavia watching this funny movie called She’s the Man that I had never seen before. They have a Twistee Treat Ice Cream place there that I only thought existed in Tampa which was very good. Time went by so quickly while we were there but still it was a great weekend.

I Heart These Shoes!!!

Okay so I have this thing for shoes. I LOVE THEM!!!! LOL..Anyway, I was at Traffic Shoes the other day and I came across these babies and I had to bring them home with me!!

Working it OUT!!!!

Did my first workout today, haven't been working out in a while. Wanted to see if my knee could take the treadmill again. Last time I tried I was in pain for weeks, but today I did pretty well. YAY!! I was working it with my iPod on jamming to my music. I was the only one in the gym at the time so I was kinda singing out loud while I was working out LOL..Gonna try it again tommorow :)

Okay I know my hands are not supposed to be on the bar, but I had to balance myself while taking a picture of myself on the treadmill, didn't want to go flying across the room..now that would have been a sight! LOL

I did 45 min for my first time, almost walked 2.5 miles..WHOO HOO! gonna do this for about a week and then work up to 60 min the following week..Pray for me!!!! LOL

My trip to Jacksonville with Mom...

Enjoyed today with Mom..took her to her Dr.'s appointment in Jacksonville today. Normally while I wait for her to be seen by the dr., I would go to Hobby Lobby or to my other two favorite scrapbook places. However within the past three months, two out of the three have closed for good!! I'm losing SO MANY of my scrapbook stores man!!! Anyway, so I google on my blackberry for any stores left in the Jacksonville area and low and behold I find one! Whoo Hoo! I called right away and she said they would be open until 8 pm. She gave me the directions and I was on my way! Needless to say I enjoyed shopping there. I did good though. I walked out spending only $10 in the store! (That is VERY GOOD for me LOL) All in all it was a good day. Thanks Mom! =)

P.S. I asked Mom to take a picture of me in front of the store and both times she caught me while I was pointing at her asking if she was ready to take the picture LOL

Using some of my New Supplies..

Okay so I had today off and decided to get some scrapbooking done. I completed half a mini-book that I have been working on FOREVER (still a work in progress) and I did this page of my niece when she was younger and lost her first tooth. I have to get used to the glimmer mist sprays though, I think I was spraying to close but I kinda like the way the page turned out.

Was going through some of my photos to scrapbook and I came across these two pictures of my nieces. Auntie babies are growing up!! Stop it!! Okay, okay I know it has to happen but still...They are growing up so fast!

Finally Went Shopping Again!!

Went shopping this past weekend at one of my Favorite Scrapbook Stores Whim So Doodle (actually it's one of the few left here where I live) it seems like all of them are closing. Anyway this store is the best ever! Everytime I go in there they always have SO MUCH stuff that I want to buy!! But I was a good girl and only purchased a few things..Can't wait to start some pages with these!

What I have been up to lately...

Was in sort of a funk the past couple of weeks, not really blogging, just coming home from work extremely tired...Anyway, yesterday made myself sit down and do a couple of pages to take my mind off of ALOT of things going on in my head..Here's a layout of my nephew when he was 8 yrs old (He is 21 now)
