Weekend with the Nieces

Enjoying my weekend with my nieces. I have them until Monday. We always have fun. We usually watch On Demand shows and movies, eat junk food and veg out until the next day and start all over again. Saks was in the mix as well enjoying everybody's attention and "Lovees". Tavia entertained us with her guitar and she is really good! I had to take a video of her as well..

Then Sierra decided she wanted to update Auntie's calendar for June and then write all of her family's names across the calendar. (I think she was just happy to be using an erasable marker LOL)

Okay SLOWLY but surely..

I'm learning about Digital Scrapbooking. I have been reading tutorials and through trial and error I was able to change a photo from color to black and white AND put writing on the photo through Photoshop Elements using Ali Edwards Capture the Moments brush. Whoo! (Brushing hand over forehead)..Well back to reading I go...

Have Been Looking For This...

Video for a long time..I have it bookmarked on FaceBook but the link doesn't come up, but I found it on Ali Edwards Blog somehow. Anyway she shows you how to add type to your pictures which I love! and her tutorials are so easy to follow..She is one of my ALL TIME Favorite Scrapbookers who does both Hybrid and Digital forms..

Okay so I got this from another blog I was looking at the other day (Can't remember whose blog, SORRY!) But whenever I get bored I answer these silly questions..

20 QUESTIONS

1. What kind of weather do you most dread?

THE HEAT! I HATE Sweating with a Funky Nasty Passion LOL!! And I live in Florida of ALL Places! LOL..Love winters much better

2. Which drives more of your decisions: your head or your heart?

My heart which I sometimes gets me in trouble or the situations that I find myself in where I'm like What the Heck? and How Did this Happen?

3. When were you last in a church? What was the occasion?

This past Sunday. No special occasion, just trying to go more on a regular basis and improve my spirituality.

4. What is the closest framed photo to you?

There is this cute frame in the shape of a Dog Bone right in front of my monitor with a picture of Saks in it.

5. Mustard goes on:

Turkey sandwiches. Hamburgers. Hot dogs. and my favorite Corn Dogs

6. Do you fold your underwear or does it just get stuffed in the drawer?

Hee,Hee depends on the mood after washing clothes. Sometimes folded, sometimes gathered in a BIG bunch and stuffed in the drawer? Happy? Now you know my secret dangit..

7. Which Disney character is your favorite?
Ariel of course.

8. Do you sleep with bare feet or do you need socks on?

Again it depends. If I am freezing and don't want to turn the air down (LOL) I wear socks, if I get hot during the middle of the night, the socks are COMING OFF!!

9. Do you know how to shoot a gun?

Absolutely NOT! and have no desire to learn.

10. Have you ever taken pictures in a photo booth?

Yep...at the Florida State Fair years ago.

11. Do you write in the margins of books as you read them?

No.Sometimes I highlight though

12. How do you feel about Thursdays?

It's the day before Friday. Nuff Said.

Wow its been a minute, can't remember at the moment

Yep and everytime I regret spending my 3.99

Chocolate Chip Oatmeal with Walnuts cookie that my Mom makes and it is OH SO GOOD!

Which one. Hmm. Wow. Dangit! Let's see I'm gonna go with my English teacher Mrs. Huff.

18. What is the newest television show you've acquired in your personal lineup?

Tough Love Couples, Basketball Wives, Brandy and Ray J and What Chilli Wants, basically the whole VH1 show lineup LOL..

I have a COLD. It's Black Friday where all the sales begins AND oh wait, I'm in Florida I never know when it's going to be Winter..

Ahem..Not afraid I just "prefer" the moon shining through my window or the tv on for noise..

Okay So Last Week..

I was going to start this project that I did last year called the Week in the Life..It was created by the people at Creating Keepsakes Magazine and basically what it is, is a week out of your life, you are to take pictures of your daily life for seven days. I found it interesting because you never realize the little things that go on in your day-to-day activity because you are so busy. Well when you have a camera in your hand everyday for seven days you realize just how much you do in a day. I say this because last week was SO BUSY that I only got to take pictures of one day..other days I forgot my camera and on the last day of work I got sick and ended up coming home. So needless to say last week was a bust, but I will still post pictures of that Monday here:

Talk to the Paw Woman...

It's so funny to watch Saks sleeping..Plus the fact that he snores, poor little thing LOL..When he goes into his DEEP SLEEP though, he turns over on his back with all four paws straight up in the air and it is HILARIOUS!! I had to crop the pictures to keep it G Rated, cuz all his (STUFF) is in the air LOLOLOL..Normally when I start taking these pictures I feel kinda bad because he is waking up from a deep sleep like "Momma what the HECK are you doing?"

I Have a New Neighbor

Okay so I live on the THIRD floor of my complex. Every now and then I like to go and sit on the patio and hang out with Saks, but lately I have been having this "Friend" that keeps showing up at the same time everyday. I'm amazed at how he/she can get so high up on a building without falling to their death. I also find this kinda funny that I would have a squirrel visiting my patio everyday seeing how I was attacked by one when I was 16 yrs old. (Yeah long story, diffrent time LOL)So this is the closest I have actually come to one in a long time and as long as they are on the OUTSIDE of the patio, WE ARE COOL!! So I decided to get out my camera and take pics of my New Neighbor..

I'm Sooooooo Tired

And I went to bed early last night considering the "normal" time that I go to bed which is around 12:00 am (I know you're thinking that's why you're SO tired!! LOL) but normally I can still function on 6 hours sleep. Somehow this week my body ain't (yes ain't) having it. It took it's sleep last night at around 9:45 pm and when the alarm went off at 6:30 I still felt like I could sleep another 24 hrs (DANG!) Oh well my coffee loves me and I love it right back {HUGS}..Well I'm almost done with my nieces graduation announcements, been playing around with my Photoshop Elements program trying to get the hang of it, so hopefully I will have that project done by the end of the week.

I'm In LOVE...

with the Beach..(Hee,Hee what were you thinking?) I have not been in years and I finally went back in March on vacation and then again two weeks after I came back and now I love it!! I have my chair with my bag of stuff and my Ipod and just relax while sitting on the beach listening to my tunes..I'm just glad I went at a good time before it got too HOT because I HATE sweating!! LOL

Saks and His Photoshoot

So I've been getting Saks prepared for his HUGE "Pawfolio" (Instead of Portfolio) that I want to do for his scrapbook album. At first he was afraid of the camera flashes, but when he realized "TREATS" came with the camera flashes, he started getting more and more used to it LOL..I recently got him a tote with his named engraved on it for when we travel or when he stays overnight at other people's homes, I will be able to store all of his stuff in it =)

Today was Relaxing

Today I did nothing but relax. I watched my Will and Grace of course, went through some pictures that I took of my niece for her upcoming graduation and relaxed with Saks. I have so much to do this week that I don't even want to think about it. One of the things that I need to do is look for end tables for the sides of my bed

Also, I need to finish up a photo book that I started of my vacation last week, do some scrapbook pages and try to survive Registration this week at work! Whew! on that note, I am going to bed..

YMCA, Macho Man and Tiara's

Okay so one of my Best Friends (Robin) invited me over to a VIPj Party (Meaning wear your pajamas and tiara's and leave the boys at home party). I thought it was a sleepover and offered to bring my blow up bed only to find out that we were all going home the same night LOL (Sorry Robin for the misunderstanding) Anyway, we had a blast. From seeing Nana (she was so pretty) to passing the pig, to doing the Hokey Pokey, the Stroll and the Electric Slide..THEN THERE WAS...The Village People..We did YMCA and Macho Man and did NOT realize how LONG those songs were back then!!! LOL..We were worn out! Our mustache's kept trying to come off while we were dancing, I think two people put theirs back on backwards and upside down (Bwah hahahaha)it was hilarious!! Then we had an impression of Dolly Parton workin 9 to 5 and she was SO funny, but she could WORK IT in those HIGH HEELS!! (I was impressed!) All in All it was a good night and had fun! (Thanks Robin, you ROCK!!)

And I'm Back...

Yes Blog I have been a bad girl and I have neglected you again..But now I'm back..have been up to so much lately that I haven't had the chance or (sorry to say the want) to blog. Thought I would start out with how I have been slowly (key word) working on my scraproom (Okay it's my walk in closet but I can call it anything I want to dangit! LOL)I love the organizing units from Michael's. I have been seeing them on alot of people's scraproom pictures on Scrapbook.com and TwoPeasinaBucket.com and so when I saw them at Michael's I had to try them. Only thing I don't like is they are not pre-made and you have to put them together on your own and they have a strong paint smell. Other than that they are great! LOLOL..I have to finish going through my pictures that I want to make black and white to cover up the wall behind the computer and get a couple of more organizing units and then I will be done. (Of course I will take pics of the completed project=). P.S. The "R" in the word SHORTY is crooked on purpose, I need a smaller nail to go in the wall..LOL
